Kylie Moore
Kylie Moore, originally from Livonia, MI, graduated from Western Michigan University in April 2019 with her BFA in Dance. At Western, she had the privilege of working with choreographers Monique Haley, Seyong Kim, Joshua Manculich, Kate Skarpetowska, and Aszure Barton. While at Western, Kylie joined ConteXture for her first season as a company member in 2017. After she graduated from WMU in 2019, Kylie moved to Chicago to dance on scholarship at Hubbard Street’s Lou Conte Dance Studio under the mentorship of Ethan Kirshbaum. Kylie relocated to Metro-Detroit in 2021 where she continued to dance professionally with Contexture Dance Detroit and has performed at festivals in the Metro-Detroit area, Chicago, and New York. Kylie also danced with Artlabj for two seasons where she toured Europe in 2022 at the Tanzhafen Festival in Linz, Austria. Kylie is a resident choreographer for Churchill High School’s CAPA dance program where her choreography has been chosen to perform in the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 Oakland Dance Festival College Showcase. In Spring of 2025, Kylie received her MA as a Dance Teaching Artist at Wayne State University with her thesis, “Effects Of The Creative Process For Pre-Professional Learners In Dance: Enhancing Well-Being Through Personal Expression.” Through this program, she has had the honor to collaborate with the undergraduate students of Company One at Wayne State under the mentorship of Lisa Wilmot and work as a teaching assistant for an undergraduate pedagogy course under the direction of Dr. Doug Risner. Kylie is a Senior Company Dancer with ConteXture Dance Detroit moving into her 10th season as a dancer and second season as Company Manager. Kylie manages all communication within the company along with running social media accounts, updating the company website, assisting in grant writing, writing applications for dance festivals, and assisting in event planning. Kylie is also the Artistic Director of the Pre-Professional Summer Program (CPSP) providing opportunities for artists ages 13-18 to train and perform alongside professional dance artists in Detroit.
