Zayda Boji, from Novi, Michigan, began her dance training as a competitive dancer and has trained in a variety of styles throughout her career. She has participated in numerous extra training opportunities, including Eisenhower Dance Detroit’s UProotEDD and NewDANCEFest Summer Intensives, ConteXture Dance Detroit’s Winter and Spring Workshops, and Oakland Dance Festival. Zayda is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance at Oakland University, where she has had the opportunity to work with talented professors and choreographers including Gregory Patterson, Teresa Muller, Elizabeth Riga, Christina Tasco, Alison Woerner, and Denise Caston. During her time at Oakland, she has performed with Oakland Dance Theatre for the past three years and has presented several works as a student choreographer for performances. In addition to performing, she's a dance teacher at several studios in the Metro Detroit area. She is very excited to be joining ConteXture for her second season!
