Nicole Gerkey

Nicole Gerkey earned her Bachelor's Degree in Dance with a Minor in Theatre from Wayne State University. Throughout her time in university she performed various modern and contemporary works, as well as a variety of theatrical productions, ranging from musicals to Shakespeare. Nicole moved to San Francisco in the fall of 2018 and had the pleasure of performing in both film and concert projects throughout the Bay Area. Currently, Nicole is in her third season as a company member of ConteXture dance Detroit. She most recently completed her second season as a judge for CRU Dance. Nicole is also a dance teacher and choreographer; her teaching pedagogies involve the combination of strength training and dance techniques to give students practical tools to promote longevity, sustainability, and confidence in their dance careers.
