Ava Boji grew up dancing at Kelley's Dance Craze in Wixom, Ml and is currently going into her junior year in Oakland University's Dance Department where she is currently pursuing a BFA. While at OU, she has performed with Oakland Dance Theater and worked with many talented dancers and choreographers such as Gregory Patterson, Teresa Muller, Andrew Cribbett, Christina Tasco, Elizabeth Riga, and Denise Caston. She has taken advantage of extra training opportunities, including American College Dance Association, ConteXture Dance Detroit Winter and Spring Workshops, and Oakland Dance Festival. Ava participated in ConteXture Dance Detroit's first season of their Pre-Professional Summer Program, where she got to work with Tracy Halloran and Kylie Moore and perform in ConteXture's eXistere concert. This will be her second season dancing and performing with the company and her first as a company member! Alongside her training and performing, she is a dance instructor at her home studio and is an assistant to the artistic director of ConteXture Dance Detroit's first Pre-Professional Summer Program, Kylie Moore. Ava is excited to be working with ConteXture again this season!
