Malaak Aburahmeh

Malaak Aburahmeh, from Dearborn Heights, MI, is a BFA dance major at Wayne State University with a full ride talent scholarship. She has worked with professors Dr. Ras Mikey Courtney, Lisa Wilmot, Hannah Anderson, Jessica Thomas, Karen Prall and Biba Bell. She has received many choreography awards and opportunities to perform her most recent work “Reality of This World” in Washington DC at the American College Dance Festival for Nationals in 2025 and was selected to perform in the 2026 Detroit Dance City Festival in the fall. She has been in multiple guest artists works at Wayne State and is in the Pilates mentorship program directed by Hannah Andersen. She currently works at a Pilates studio and is a dance teacher in the metro Detroit area. She was given an opportunity to be an associative choreographer along side Jessica Thomas for a show called “Songs for our Shared Home”. She plans to continue to grow her career in dance and Pilates.
